The Gospel of John

John was the closest disciple to Jesus, and he paints the closest and most unique portrait of Jesus. He writes with a "paintbrush". Jesus is the Lamb, the Light, the Door, the Bread of Life, and the Vine. 90% of John is unique to the Gospel accounts. The purpose of John's Gospel is "that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." (John 20:31)
